[ It's been over a month since she showed up in Luceti. A month of putting on her perfect good little face that Charles approved of and staying out of anyone's business as much as possible. The effort is tiring sometimes and she revels in the chance to close all her curtains and be herself for once. And after some thinking she opens up her journal to address things. ]

What do you do when you're tired of pretending for someone who isn't even around? I know I'm not the only freak here but how long to you bother hiding?

Hey, I know I kind of vanished for a while but. It was all a little too much to take in all at once. Can we have a face to face? [ She takes a deep breath. ] A real face to face. I'll put my cards on the table if you will.

[Wanda zeros in on the correct door using Raven's voice as a locator. Entering with rounded shoulders-- she is, after all, used to Mystique being something of a "boss" and more than just a bit moody.

If Raven was expecting a large reaction, however, she will be fairly disappointed, as Wanda only blinks, not used to seeing Mystique dressed so casually. She glances around as she closes the door, not seeing any actual cards, so figures it must be a figure of speech. She has a hard time with those, for some reason.]

... I... didn't bring any cards. [Wugh, no, that was dumb, say something else.] ... It's good to see you again.

...So you really did know me, huh?

[ The lack of reaction is a little surprising. Everyone blinks the first time, even Hank and Eric. But there is no disgust there and that's a relief more than anything. ]

Yes. ... You don't look... exactly how I remember you. But that's really hardly an issue with you. [She glances around, a little awkwardly. It was always strange to be in someone else's home.] ... How have you been holding up?

...Well enough, I guess. I keep half expecting to wake up and have Eric and Charles around. That this will all be a dream.

... I would not at all mind having my father here. ... Though I think I'd prefer to wake up back home, like you. Forget this place ever existed.

If he came from my time he might not be the same person you remember. He was always driven by something, always talking to Charles about it.

Mmm. That's true. ... There seems to be a lot of that here, though. ... I remember, when I was... just a little girl. Sitting on the top of the steps, in the dark with my brother, listening to Father talk to... him. To you. You three always had so much to talk about.
