[ It's been over a month since she showed up in Luceti. A month of putting on her perfect good little face that Charles approved of and staying out of anyone's business as much as possible. The effort is tiring sometimes and she revels in the chance to close all her curtains and be herself for once. And after some thinking she opens up her journal to address things. ]

What do you do when you're tired of pretending for someone who isn't even around? I know I'm not the only freak here but how long to you bother hiding?

Being a freak isn't really optional for me, and yeah I do it to protect myself. People wouldn't understand, I got a nice taste of that already. There might be some here who aren't afraid but it isn't that simple.

Didn't say it wasn't for me either. [Remy was a 'freak' so much more than just being a mutant. Hell, how many people grew up in a family crime organization which trained them to be a world class thief? He loved his life, and his family, but god knows his life wasn't normal by most peoples standards. But he wouldn't change it for the world.]

Ya right, some won't understand. Hell, MOST won't understand. It all be down to attitude. Ya goin' to let those that kicked ya while down to control ya, or go on despite them?

'nd I wouldn't underestimate the ability to hide, it be a powerful tool, but no tool should be used continuously. Got to hang it back up sooner or later. What I seen so far, don't matter what ya do here, it ain't goin' with ya when ya return home, 'nd there be a lot of others 'round here with more sins to hide than ya may have.
